In 2001, Laurent Baleydier invented a new way to present search engine results with KartOO: replacing the traditional list with a thematic map. In 2010, he directed the Virtual Reality Center in Clermont-Ferrand and discovered the full potential of immersive interfaces. This led him to create Laurent Baleydier in 2014, with the goal of merging these two technologies: information mapping to represent data in space, and virtual reality to navigate, comprehend large volumes of data, and find paths to the most relevant information. Today, after several years of R&D, the first 3D data navigation interfaces are emerging.

Virtual Reality
Tour of installations that exist only on plans with a virtual reality headset. Clients no longer need to travel; they can choose their options and tour the equipment safely. A mascot accompanies them to comment on points of interest.
Virtual tour of a castle: the virtual reality headset is used as a time machine to show the same room at different centuries and bring historical characters back to life.
DataViz
New interfaces: News indexing engine with a cartographic interface. Users see key people and the articles related to them. The information is analyzed to assess the language level, quantity, and intensity of emotions.
Immersive visualization (Oculus Rift): Data representation in a garden to better memorize access paths to information using the “loci” method. Creation of animated 3D graphs to visualize trends and their evolution. Recently patented technology.
